TIME ZONE: Atlantic Standard Time (AST). St. Croix does not observe Daylight Saving Time. It is one hour ahead of Eastern Standard Time (EST) in winter and the same time as EST in summer.
CURRENCY: U.S. dollar. Credit cards are widely honored.
TEMPERATURE: Winter 72 to 85F; Summer 77 to 89F
U.S. CITIZEN GUESTS: Passports are not required for U.S. citizens traveling to the U.S. Virgin Islands from the U.S. mainland or Puerto Rico. In the absence of a passport, travelers should carry a birth certificate with a raised seal and a government-issued photo ID (REAL ID-compliant). Parents or guardians traveling with children should carry documentation of each child’s identity, such as a birth certificate, for departure from St. Croix.
INTERNATIONAL GUESTS: Travelers arriving in the U.S. Virgin Islands from another country must follow U.S. federal entry requirements. A valid passport is required, along with either a U.S. visa or, for citizens of Visa Waiver Program countries, an approved ESTA (Electronic System for Travel Authorization). Please visit travel.state.gov for current requirements based on your nationality.
Note: There is no inbound U.S. Customs nor immigration checks. Outbound immigration and U.S. Customs clearance is processed in St. Croix, before your trip home.
The Buccaneer offers three on-property restaurants, each with its own distinct setting and menu, along with in-room service for guests who prefer to dine in the comfort of their accommodations.
While we do not offer an all-inclusive dining program, most leisure rates include our full American breakfast buffet, served daily at The Terrace from 7–10 a.m.
Lunch is served beachfront at The Mermaid and Beauregard’s on the Beach restaurants, while dinner locations, themed evenings and live entertainment vary seasonally: event calendar.

Check-in is at 3:00 p.m. Checkout is at 11:00 a.m. Hospitality rooms will be made available, if possible, for early arrivals or late departures.

The Buccaneer requires all guests to sign in on a Registration Form at the front desk.
The Buccaneer is a non-smoking facility. U.S. Virgin Island law prohibits smoking in guest rooms, restaurants nor any other public space.
The main entrance, restaurants and lounges, meeting space, entrance to the onsite swimming pool, the route to the registration desk and guest rooms are accessible. All accommodation categories offer rooms suitable for handicapped guests.
Small, pre-approved dogs are welcome at The Buccaneer as well as service dogs. There is a $35 per day fee for your pet sharing your room.
A nametag with identification and a current rabies tag to be worn by the pet at all times. Please provide evidence of updated vaccinations at time of check-in.
Dogs must be kept on a leash when not in the room and cause no disturbance to other guests. Please walk your dog in areas away from other guests, and clean up after your pet.
Dogs are never allowed on the beaches, at the restaurants or poolside. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Cancellation Policy
- Summer Season
A one-night deposit is required. Cancellations must be made at least 7 days prior to arrival to avoid penalty. - Winter Season
A two-night deposit is required. Cancellations must be made at least 30 days prior to arrival to avoid penalty. - Holiday Periods
A three-night deposit is required. Cancellations must be made at least 90 days prior to arrival to avoid penalty. - Government & Business Travel
Reservations must be canceled at least 2 days prior to arrival to avoid penalty.

Published rates are based on two persons sharing a room. See below additional fees if you have more than two guests sharing
$85 per additional adult sharing – maximum three adults per room
$40 per additional child sharing with an adult (Ages 4 – 18) – two adults and up to three children may share one room
Child Policies:
4 – 18 years of age and under is considered a child
0 – 3 is considered an infant
